Make sure that your company’s policy-makers have a maximum of knowledge AND practice. Business simulation games are a risk-free and efficient way to train both, which is why they are used by leading companies, universities and colleges.
Why using simulation games?
Future and current managers are provided with a risk-free environment where they can learn to make critical decisions which will have both a strategic and tactical impact on the business. They will understand the importance of communication and teamwork and realise that success results from the interaction of different business units.

biz.talk business simulation games – an outline
biz.talk business simulation games are used in the training and further training of employees who already hold a management position in a company or are prepared for taking such a position in the future. Depending on the type of simulation, training courses are available for potential managers, middle management or top executives.
biz.talk business simulation games are based on the following principles:
- The individual participants represent members of a management team in the company and make co-ordinated decisions relating to different corporate divisions. In doing so, they have to bear in mind that the business environment is not stable, but is changing constantly.
- Each team member analyses the initial situation and uses this analysis as a basis for their decisions. These decisions will then be systematically compared to each other and the comparison will provide the basis for detailed discussion and consultation within the team. Finally, the team members have to agree on a joint decision.
- Depending on the simulation, the team members need to make decisions in a variety of fields, such as R&D, production, marketing, sales, logistics, finance etc.
- Each team represents a company in the market and has to compete with other companies operating in the same market. Thus, participants do not play against the computer, but against other teams who participate in the same programme.
- The game simulates several rounds of decisions; each round represents one particular period of time (e.g. one quarter, one year). After each round, the teams will obtain the results and can analyse the quality of their decisions. In this phase, the trainer can assume the role of a coach.
- All our business simulation games are perfectly suited both for conventional face-to-face training courses and for online courses. Of course, it is also possible to combine both types of courses.
